Shahrnoush Parsipour

Born in 1946.

Iranian novelist, essayist and literary critic. She studied sociology at the University of Tehran in 1973 as well as philosophy and Chinese civilization at the Sorbonne University. Her novels mainly address the themes of the place of women in society and their relationship with men, as well as political commitment.

She lives in the United States since 1992.
