Parastou Forouhar

Born in 1962. 

Iranian installation artist. 

She settled in Germany after the political murder of her parents in 1998. She mainly creates installations but also animation and photography. Her works reflect her critical point of view about power in Iran, Islamic fundamentalism and question the notion of identity. Through her works, she challenges viewers to take a stand on war crimes against innocent citizens, in echo with the death of her parents. She exhibits in Iran, Germany, France, Turkey…

She lives and works out in Frankfurt.
