FARAH PAHLAVI
Born in 1938.
Architect, painter and the Shahbanu of Iran from 1961 to 1979. She is the wife of the last Shah of Iran, Mohammed Reza Pahlavi. Known for her commitment to cultural development in Iran and social protection, she is behind the creation of many associations and establishments for the wellness of children and women. Passionate about art, she also participated in the creation of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art in 1977 and supervised the collection, made up of 3500 works. In exile since 1979, following the Islamic revolution, she stayed in the United States, and France.
