Farah Osouli
Born in 1953,
Iranian painter.
She graduated from Fine Arts in Tehran in 1971. She is famous for having a modern approach to classical Persian painting. Her work is inspired by questions related to Persian poetry, the life of women or classical Western art. She represents various subjects presented in Persian miniature painting such as women, men, grapes, flowers, birds… She exhibits in Europe, the United States and Iran. Some of her works are kept at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and at the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art.
