Chahla Chafiq
Born in 1957.
Iranian author, sociologist and activist in defense of human rights and women’s liberation.
In 1982 she was forced to leave Iran due to political oppression and has since lived in France France where she completed her studies in sociology and for her doctorate dissertation received the prestigious Le Monde Award in Academic Research.
Chahla's writings both in Persian language and French, include essays, short stories, and novels.
In 2017, for all her activities, she received the awards of "Chevalier de la Légion d' Honneur".
